About Us
The conception of a ministry at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport developed from the contact of Rev. Robert White with airline personnel. Airline employees had formed a volunteer “big-brother big-sister” program for children of inner-city St. Paul, where Pastor White served a church. The involvement of airline personnel, with their capacity and opportunity for ministry and social service to others was a key reason for the development of a ministry in the airport setting. The second major reason was the involvement of Pastor White with counseling of airline personnel and their families. Referrals and consultations with physicians indicated a need for a counseling ministry available to airline employees.
Pastor White has been serving the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport Community for over 25 years. The ministry is solely funded through contributions from airline employees and organizations within the airport community. The ministry is an active member of “Civil Aviation Chaplains International” and hosted the 14th Annual International Conference in 1980. Pastor White is also a member of the “Airline Employee Assistance Coordinators Association” and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
